I just wanted to go ahead and give everyone a heads up as to an update on the submission guidelines.

We will not accept deviations of actors who appear in Doctor Who outside of their character. Which means no portraits of them from photo shoots etc. There are portrait specific groups on Deviantart for that purpose. If you submit a portrait to us, they must be in character (in costume) with some aspect of Doctor Who in the actual image.

Also, the submission limit should be fixed so that members can submit only one per day. People who have been submitting over five pieces are not actual members and will need to join the group if they plan to take advantage of our gallery folders in the future.

As always if you have any questions, don't hesitate to send a note.

Personally, I'd really like it if the quality control were tightened a bit. A huge part of the reason I applied and joined this group in the first place was that at the time you accepted only quality work, and recently an awful lot of "sub-standard" stuff has shown up in my inbox.

I know quality control is difficult to maintain (I actually am partially responsible for such maintenance in #FutureZoology), and I'm not saying that standards should be returned to the level of strictness they were at when I joined, but at least a little vigilance over what's going into the gallery would be really nice.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I really do feel pretty strongly about quality control.

It's possible to stop non-members from submitting over a certain amount of art, as it is for members. Somewhere in the settings.

After going through the options I think I was able to stop non-members from posting period. That way they would have to join to be able to submit from now on. It just didn't seem fair to those of you who are members for them to take advantage of the gallery.

What's odd is that my group doesn't accept non-member art by default. I've never fiddled with those settings before o3o

Same here for my own groups. It might have been something that was changed prior to me taking on the co-founder duties.
